Bootjack
Joseph T. Obermeyer, 80, a resident of Bootjack passed away at his home on Sunday August 19, 2012.
He was born on September 29, 1931 in Cincinnati, Ohio a son of the late Elmer and Lois (Paddack) Obermeyer. He graduated from Purcell High School in 1949 and later from Xavier University in 1953 both in Cincinnati, Ohio. After receiving his education he served as a 2nd Lieutant in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and being honorably discharged in 1955.
On July 22, 1961 he was married to the former Barbara Bail.
Joseph worked for Natorp’s Landscape Co. in Cincinnati as a supervisor of the landscaping division until his retirement in 1994.
His family was the love of his life and enjoyed spending time with them at his home in Bootjack and his home in Cincinnati. He enjoyed water skiing, downhill skiing and bird watching.
Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother Elmer Obermeyer.
He was a member of the Church of the Nativity in Cincinnati.

Richard (Ruth) Obermeyer of South Carolina
Sister in law: Jeanne Obermeyer of Florida
A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday August 22, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Sacred Heart Church in Calumet with Fr. Abraham Mupparathara to officiate.
Friends may call at Sacred Heart Church from 10:30-11:00 AM on Wednesday

Burial will be in the Gates of Heaven Cemetery in Cincinnati, Ohio.
