Obituary for Stephen John Ricard
Stephen J. Ricard, 68, a resident of Utica, passed away at home on Sunday, March 12, 2023.
Steve was born October 3, 1954, in Detroit and raised on the east side in a family of public safety officers. He graduated from Servite High School in 1973.
He was a longtime employee of Sterling Heights Dodge. During more than 40 years of service he did conscientious work and made his coworkers laugh.
Steve was a gifted storyteller like his father, a caring, steadfast friend like his mother, and a skilled mechanic like his brother. He had a big heart and a great sense of humor. If you needed help he would help without wanting anything in return. If you needed advice or someone to listen, he offered guidance and a patient ear. He will be missed by his family and his dear friends who were just like family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Delore "Rick" and Mary (O’Connor) Ricard, and brother, Michael Ricard. He is survived by his niece, Catherine Ricard, sister-in-law, Sue Belanger Ricard, and several cousins.

A memorial gathering will be held Sunday, April 2, 2-5 p.m. at Wm Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Rd, Utica, MI.
