Obituary for Robert Francis LaBonte
Calumet,
Robert Francis LaBonte, age 69, born September 25, 1952, passed away peacefully in his home after a courageous battle of cancer on December 29, 2021. He was born at Calumet Public Hospital to parents Everette and Gretrude (Brown) LaBonte.
He was an altar boy at St. Ann’s Catholic Church from 1960 to 1967. He attended Calumet Public Schools graduating with the Class of 1970. Bob worked for Labonte Market for many years, he also worked for Horners Flooring for 29 years.
Bob enjoyed camping and riding his motorcycle along with having large bonfires and going for rides looking at the scenery.
He was an inspiration to AA members, and encouraged them to stay on the right path. Bob will be missed by everyone who knew him.

His Grandchildren; Austin and Angel
His in-laws; Jersey (Betty) Wisniewski of Painsdale, Sister in-law Lelia (Robert) of South Range
He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins
A funeral service will be held for Robert LaBonte on January 3, 2022 at 2:30 pm at St. Paul the Apostle Church. Visitation will be held form 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on January 3, 2022 at the Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home.
The family wishes to thank Dr. McConnon for his excellent care and the staff at UP Health System Portage Hospice for the kind care they provided Robert.
