Obituary for Glen Eugene Koory
Glen E. Koory, 82 a resident of Calumet passed away on Tuesday August 11, 2020 at Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital.
He was born on March 10, 1938 to Albert and Lillian (Barri) Koory in Tamarack Location. He attended the local schools. At 18, he went to work in the mines for Calumet & Hecla Mining Company.
He was united in marriage to Doris Ojala in 1959.
In 1965 him and his family moved to the suburbs of Detroit. He then worked as a prototype press operator. After retirement he moved back to Calumet. He and his wife then renewed their marriage vows.
Preceeding him in death are his parents, Albert and Lillian Koory, his brother Clarence and two sisters, Dorothy Suojanen and Phyllis Suojanen.
He is survived by:

7 grandchildren: Crystal Blau, Ruth Blau, Alicia Curto, Christopher, Brandon, Briana, and Dustan
3 great grandchildren: Anna Kesti, Ellie Kesti, and Aden Hatcher and numerous step-grandchildren
1 sister: Jean Prach of Royale Oak
Per Glen’s request, a private family service will be held at a later date.
Burial will take place in the Lake View Cemetery in Calumet.
