Dan A Harter, age 49, of Calumet passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wisconsin.

Dan was born to William and Sharon (Fretter) Harter on March 21, 1969 in Laurium.

He attended Calumet High School.

Dan worked as a small engine repairman for Harter’s in Calumet, and also for Calumet Electronics as a maintenance supervisor. He also served in the Army National Guard as a specialist.

On March 16, 2007 he was united in marriage to Laurie Anne Roberts in Houghton.
Dan enjoyed picking rocks in his free time. He was a big fan of music and played the guitar as a member of various bands throughout the years. Dan was also quite the history buff.

He was preceded in death by his Mother, Grandparents, and his In-laws.

Michael (Amanda) Codere of Mohawk
Lucas Codere of Calumet
6 Grandchildren: Riley, McKenzie, Bryce, Easton, Landon and Zander
Father: William of Hancock
Brother: Scott of Calumet
Sisters: Jamie (Mike) of Lake Linden
Betsy (Pete) of Calumet
Ex-wife: Roxanne Billings
And numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, and special friends.

As Dan requested cremation has taken place and private family services will be held.
