The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Diane Bergquist can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolences

Condolence From: Linda Schou
Condolence: My heartfelt condolences to the family of Diann.

I met Diann through a shared love for animals when in our late teens we became active with the first international animal rights organization, The Fund for Animals. We shared many hours together with Doris Dixon, the organization's MI Chairperson, whom Diann had a very close relationship with and especially loved.

I still remember the day I met Diann outside her small rented home in Plymouth. That meeting led to a lifetime friendship of shared interests and created memories. Diann always had a kind word, an ear to lend, a helping hand, a quiet but steady faith, and a heart bursting with love and compassion. I miss her and look forward to the day I see her again.

Wilho, Diann was so happy to have been able to be with you in Calumet. She shared many happy stories of her time with you. You were a strong influence in her life and helped shape the beautiful person she became. Thank you for bringing her to us.

Rest well in God's care, Diann.

Condolence: Dear Family of Diane,
I only just recently learned of her passing. I have been so sad and stunned. I knew Diane since the 1970’s when she became interested in helping animals via the Fund for Animals which my mother represented at the time. Through the years she volunteered her time to help animals in so many ways. She made a difference by caring for the voiceless--the animals in this world, while sharing sincere smiles and concern for humanity as well.
I wish above all to remind Wilho that he and Clara brought a beautiful life into the world that they named Diane.
Diane left this world a better place than if she had not been born. May the family and especially Wilho, always know this and have happiness and peace for knowing it.

Condolence: I am grateful to have known Diane. I had the pleasure of knowing her before she moved to Calumet and was able to visit her downstate. She often came into my shop on 6th street and filled me in on her animals and careers and life. I will miss her and am glad to have known her. I send hugs to her family.

Condolence: My heart sank when my sister shared Diane’s passing with me. She was a kind, loving, sweet woman who was the first to offer anything to help others. She spent time with my youngest son Donald and always mentioned him to me when we chatted on Facebook. I know she loved her parents and moved to be with her Dad when her mom passed. God Bless you Diane. I’ll see you on the other side. My prayers go out to all who loved her.

Condolence: I am in shock. She was an amazing animal lover and so very generous to every person she ever knew. I often told her that I wanted to come back as one of her dogs so I could live the highlife. Diann you will be missed. I am heartbroken for Wilho whom you adored. Rest In Peace
