Condolence: Dear family of John, John was my first cousin. His mother Alice and my mother, Florence Schaltz were Delongchamp sisters. Florian & I have been gone from the Copper Country for many years, now living in Tucson, AZ. Needless to say we've lost touch over the years but I'm especially thankful to John for all the help and care he gave my mother when we were gone - she knew she could always call on John! Condolence: My heart felt condolences to Dave and Darren on the loss of your father. John befriended me when I first came to Laurium in 1990. He was a great handyman around my offices and home as well as a good carpenter. He helped me with many projects at the office, build a garage and add a deck on my old office. For many a year, John would stop by my office in the morning and have a cup of tea with me. this became quite the tradition. He always asked about my family and we had many a discussion about the Red Wings and Tigers. When he learned my son was interested in guitar, he came by with a nice guitar stand wanting nothing in return. The last time I saw John, I told him to stop by for tea some morning as we had drifted from that routine in the last couple years. I knew he had some health issues but he said he would come by soon. Condolence: Dave and Darren, I was sorry to hear about your father's passing. You have my deepest sympathy. I always saw your dad, working in the backyard garden, on Florida Street; when I was riding my bike home, down to Old Colony. I didn't get much time to talk to him, but he was always nice, when I came by the house, to talk with Dave or Dennis. All the best for you.
