John F. Gunnari, age 82, a resident of Laurium passed away on Tuesday August 2, 2016 at UP Health System- Marquette.
He was born on July 2, 1934 to Hubert and Alice (Delongchamp) Gunnari in Mohawk, Michigan.
John attended the local schools.
John served in the Army, he was stationed in Germany during the Korean War.
He was a jack of all trades. He loved woodworking. He also enjoyed playing the guitar.
He was a big sports fan, and his favorite teams were the Detroit Red Wings, and the Detroit Tigers.
He spent a lot of time on the computer; playing games and looking up different items to purchase.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 61 in Calumet.
On May 7, 1960 he married Jean Kumpula in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Jean; his sister Shirley Paskvan; and his son Dennis.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Pine Grove Cemetery in Eagle Harbor.
