SueAnn Gariepy-Rastello, age 58, a resident of Laurium passed away on Thursday November 19, 2015 at her home.

She was born in Laurium on March 22, 1958, a daughter of David and Barbara (Kaikkonen) Savinen.

She attended the Mohawk school until the family moved to Arizona in 1968 where she completed her education in the San Manuel and Kearny High School.

In 1979 she married Donald Gariepy of Mohawk, who preceded her in death after an automobile accident in 1999.

Sue worked at Pat’s IGA; and had many friends in the Mohawk, Calumet and Laurium area.

On May 25, 2001, she married Steven Rastello, together they owned and operated Jim’s Sewer Service.

A memorial service for Sue will be held at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Mohawk at 11:00 am Wednesday December 2, 2015, with Pastor Tim Johnston to officiate. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday December 2 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
