John “Jack” Wolfe, age 86, a resident of Calumet passed away on Tuesday November 17, 2015 at Gardenview Assisted Living.
He was born on February 12, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan to Frank and Lenora (Rule) Wolfe.
On October 13, 1951 he married the love of his life, Antoinette (Toni) Ozzello at Sacred Heart Church in Calumet.
Jack served in the military for most of his career. He started in the Army, and when he married Antoinette, took a 3 month hiatus before joining the Air Force and working as a fireman. Jack enjoyed skiing, hiking, biking, and swimming. He was always on the go.
In his younger years Jack was a great downhill skier, and loved to cross country ski in the Copper Country.
Jack is preceded in death by his wife Antoinette “Toni”, parents, and two sisters; Thursa and Alice.
He is survived by:
Son: James “Jim” Wolfe of Lake Linden
Daughter: Jackie (Dick Sokol) Wolfe of Calumet
One Grandchild
And numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins
Private immediate family services will be held later this week.
Burial will be held at the Lake View Cemetery in Calumet.
