Paul R. “Kirby” Frantti, 79, a resident of Laurium passed away on November 28, 2014 at the Houghton County Medical Care Facility.

He was born on December 2, 1934 to Emil and Fannie (Parkinen) Frantti in Swedetown, Michigan

Paul graduated with the Class of 1952 of Calumet High School.

Paul worked for the Detroit Police Department for 6 years. Following his employment with the police department, he began working as a claims adjuster for State Farm Insurance for the next 30 years, retiring in 1997.

Paul is also a life long member of the First Apostolic Lutheran Church, and a past school board member for the CLK Schools.

Paul is preceded in death by three infant children, daughter Lisa, two sons, Aaron and John Paul, his parents, and sister Lorraine Helminen.

Friends may call at the First Apostolic Lutheran Church in Calumet from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday December 1, 2014, and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday December 2, 2014. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday December 2, 2014 at 11:00 am with David Taivalkoski to officiate the service.
