Laurium
Manuel Rockey O’Brien, 28, a resident of Ahmeek Street in Laurium passed away at his home on June 15, 2010 following a lengthy illness.
He was born on September 30, 1981 in Laurium a son of Rodney and Lillian (Dooley) O’Brien.
Manuel attended the Calumet High School.
Manuel enjoyed spending time on his computer, culinary foods, writing and listening to music, rapping and attending concerts. Most importantly being wherever people were and hanging out with his friends and family.
Preceding him in death was his brother Rodney JR O’Brien.

Parents: Rodney and Lillian O’Brien of Laurium
Sisters: Toni (Scott) Baker of Marquette
Desiree O’Brien and Joseph Collick of Marquette
Maternal Grandmother: Gladys Roman of Laurium
Niece: Aurora Scott
Nephews: Cody and Michael Baker
Numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A thank you goes out to Aspirus Keweenaw Home Nursing and a special thank you to Lauralee Miller and Josh Kocjan for always being there for him. Also, his buddies Joe and Chris Krainatz.
Private services will be held and the Erickson Crowley Funeral Home in Calumet is assisting the family with the arrangements.
