Laurium

Ernest (Ernie) Quello, 74, of Laurium passed away early Monday morning at the Houghton County Medical Care Facility where he had been a patient for the past 17 months.

He was born on Feb 15, 1920 in Calumet a son of Dominic and Lucia Quello and had attended the local schools of the area.

For several years he had worked for Calumet and Hecla, later moving to Milwaukee to make his home, where he was employed with Production Stamping. Since 1969 he has made his home in Laurium.

He had served overseas with the US Navy during WW II.

He was married to Gen Cherubini on Dec. 8, 1944.

He is a member of
Sacred Heart Church of Calumet
Calumet Laurium VFW Post #3900
Court North Star # 17 Foresters of America

He is preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and a sister.

He is survived by
his wife, Gen

4 sons:

David (Kathy) Quello; West bend, WI
Michael Quello; Long Beach, CA
Brian (Cindy) Quello; Monroe, MI

3 daughters:
Renee (Paul) Baroni; Calumet

Cheryl (Steve) Lanctot; Laurium

14 grandchildren

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 Friday morning by
Fr. Marian Douglas at Sacred Heart Church in Calumet.

Interment will be in Lake View Cemetery.

Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 on Thursday at the Erickson Crowley Funeral Home in Calumet.

On thursday evening memorial services will be conducted in the funeral home by the VFW Post # 3900 at 7:00 PM; the Court North Star, Foresters of America will conduct a memorial service at 7:15 and at 8:30 Father will have a prayer service.
