Claire Remali, 64, a resident of Calumet Waterworks, was pronounced dead on arrival at the Calumet Public Hospital on Tuesday morning, following an apparent heart attack.
The former Claire Mongeau was born October 19, 1921 in Tamarack Mills a daughter of the late Arthur & Alvina Mongeau. She attended the St. Cecelia School in Hubbell. She later lived in Detroit until the early 1960ís when she returned to Hubbell. Since 1980 she has made her home in Calumet Waterworks. She worked at the Houghton County Medical Care Facility as a nurseís aide for 15 years retiring in 1984.
She was married to John Kappler on 1937 in Tamarack City. He passed away in 1964. In 1966 she was married to Raymond Monette in Hubbell. He passed away in 1968. She was then married to Paul Remali in 1972 in Calumet.
Mrs. Remali was a member of the St. Paul the Apostle Church of Calumet.

4 sons, Ronald Kappler of Hubbell; Fred Kappler of Bootjack; John Kappler of St. Louis, MO; and Gary Kappler of Hubbell;
2 daughters, Mrs. Sandra (Jerry) Stead of Westland, MI; Miss Linda Kappler of Calumet;
1 step-daughter, Mrs. Gail (Martin) Voldarski of Calumet Waterworks;
12 grandchildren;
3 great grandchildren;
3 brothers, Virgil of Connecticut; Richard of Algonac, MI; Roland of Sterling Heights, MI;
4 sisters, Mrs. Marie (Wallace) Lokojarvi of Houghton; Mrs. Margaret (Eugene) Pini of Lake Linden; Mrs. Elaine (Lawrence) Monette of Hubbell; Mrs. Alice (Gordon) Parske of Stephenville, TX;
Numerous nieces, nephews & cousins.
Burial will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
