Lila Ervast, 85, long time Copper Country resident passed away early Tuesday evening at the Keweenaw Memorial Medical Center in Laurium where she had been a patient for the past month.

Lila was born on April 6, 1911 in Kearsarge a daughter of Adolph and Karolina Ahonen and had attended the local school of the area. She is a graduate of Calumet High School, Class of 1929

She had lived in Marquette, Menominee, St. Ignace and since 1943 has made her home in Laurium

She was married to Aarne Ervast in Laurium on March 30, 1934

She is a member of
St. Paul Lutheran Church of Laurium and it=s Ladies Aide

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 Friday morning at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Laurium with the Rev. Larry Warsinski officiating.

Spring burial will be in Lake View Cemetery in Calumet

Friends may call from 7 to 9 on Thursday (Today) at the Erickson Crowley Funeral Home of Calumet and one hour prior to funeral services at the church on Friday
