Condolence: To Casper's family: You have my deepest sympathy in the loss of Casper. I was saddened to see his obituary in the paper. I was a nurse at the Hancock VA Outpatient Clinic for almost 18 years, retiring last December. Casper never spoke of his time in the service to me, but his former helicopter pilot had told me stories and had remarked, "That man is a true hero." What I do know about Casper is that he loved his family, his country and his Lord. I also know that our nation owes him a great debt. I was never in the military, so this may not be appropriate to say, but if you could kindly grant me some license, I would like to say, "I salute you, brave soldier. Rest in peace, dear Casper.
