Obituary for Dolores Mae Fisher (Englund)

Dolores Fisher, age 81, a lifelong resident of Calumet, passed away peacefully at her home in Marquette on Sunday September 18, 2016 in the loving care of her family.

She was born on October 19, 1934 in Hancock, Michigan to Walter and Eva (Olson) Englund.

She attended Calumet public schools.

Dolores loved to spend time with her son/daughter in law and grandchildren.

She was an avid sports fan, she loved hockey and baseball; her favorite teams were the Detroit Red Wings and the Detroit Tigers. She also loved to watch TV; her favorite shows were; Walker Texas Ranger, and Blue Blood and her favorite soap opera Days of our lives.

On December 27, 1957 she married Gordon Fisher in Calumet.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Gordon, a son Gordon Jr., 2 brothers Clarence and James, and a sister Norma Peterson.

She is survived by:

5 grandchildren: Joe, CJ, Breanna, Shawn and Tyler.

1 Brother: Gerald Englund of Calumet

4 sisters: Betty Phelps of Marquette

Carol (James) Patrick of Calumet

Jean (Eugene) Kojala of Negaunee

Mary Gail (Robert) Gilles of Arizona

Private family graveside services will be held at a future date.

A special thank you to her grandson C.J. for his constant vigilance, love and compassion while caring for his Grandma.

The family would also like to thank Dolores’s caregivers Tina and Eileen and special volunteer Linnea for the great care she recieved.
