The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of John Walters can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

My beloved brother

Jack is strongly responsible for the talents and success I have had in my life.

When Jack returned from the service, he setup an electronics shop in our booth room, a small room right off the kitchen There he started to assemble a TV kit and he repaired radios. Jack let me help him and to use his equipment. that started my interest in electronics. When he left home to get married, he left me all his test equipment because he decided he liked mechanical work more than electronics. He also let me go to the  Northern Auto shop where he repaired all kinds of cars. He encouraged me to help disassemble and clean parts for a lot of the cars he was working on and that gave me an interest in mechanics. When I started Michigan Tech, Jack would pick me up in the morning, drive to Hancock and then let me take his '56 Desoto to school. After school I would drive back to pick him up and we would drive back to Laurium. He even installed a suicide knob on the steering wheel to make it easier for me to drive with one hand. He often would allow me take the Desoto out on dates; that was a great car and I loved to drive it. Jack was a GREAT brother to me and I will miss him greatly. I love you brother andi will see you again someday.

Love, your very greatful brother, Bob .
