Dorothy Dolan, age 93, passed away Friday, March 25, 2016 at the Houghton County Medical Care Facility.

Dorothy was born on March 20, 1923 to James and Mary (Mussatto) Gamarra in Calumet.

She graduated from Calumet High School with the class of 1940.

On August 1, 1955 she was united in marriage to John “Jack” Dolan in St Mary’s Church.

Dorothy worked a few different jobs over the years including the Scott Print Shop, and being a waitress at Nelson’s Restaurant. She also went to live in Minnesota for a short period and moving back to the Copper Country in 1955. Dorothy also worked for Janus Home Health Care in 1985. She was a long time member of St Paul the Apostle Church.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son and siblings.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, April 1, 2016 at St Paul the Apostle Church in Calumet at 11:00 AM, with Father Abraham Mupparathara and Father John Martignon to officiate, and Deacon Art Stancher to assist.

Spring burial will be at the Lake View Cemetery.
