Ann M. Voelker, 87, a resident of Florida Location passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday May 28, 2008.

She was born on February 16, 1919 in Laurium a daughter of the late John and Alice (Verville) Korvanen.

Ann was a graduate of the Calumet High School.

She was married to Mervin “Bud” Voelker on July 25, 1939 in the Mohawk United Methodist Church and he preceded her in death on December 23, 2002.

Ann operated her own beauty shop in Laurium for several years. After Bud graduated from Michigan Tech she worked as a secretary for various companies as they traveled for his work in the mining business.

She was a member of the Laurium United Methodist Church and Ladies Group, the Calumet Women’s Club and The Order of Eastern Star Trillium Chapter 304, where she served as past Worthy Matron and also as Star Point for many years.

Funeral services will be held on Monday June 2, 2008 at 10:00 AM in the Laurium United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bob White to officiate.

Friends may call at the Erickson Crowley Funeral Home in Calumet
on Sunday from 3-7 PM and one hour prior to the funeral on Monday at the church.

Burial will be in the Lake View Cemetery.
